The weather conditions will give rise to rapid moistening of the snowpack in particular at low and intermediate altitudes. Backcountry tours and off-piste skiing should be started and concluded early. Weak layers exist in the old snowpack especially on north, northeast and northwest facing slopes. As a consequence of new snow and a sometimes strong wind, mostly small wind slabs will form in the afternoon in all regions. The older wind slabs will be covered with new snow and therefore difficult to recognise. On wind-loaded slopes and in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain the situation is more precarious.
Especially shady slopes where weaknesses exist in the old snowpack are unfavourable. The wind slabs can still be released in particular on steep north, northwest and northeast facing slopes. Low and intermediate altitudes as well as sunny slopes: The weather conditions will give rise to rapid moistening of the snowpack.
