Avalanche Activity

In some localities light precipitation:

As a consequence of falling temperatures the snowpack will consolidate. The danger of moist and wet avalanches will decrease. Individual avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular in steep terrain at elevated altitudes and on shady slopes. These are to be evaluated with care and prudence in particular in terrain where there is a danger of falling.

Snowpack Structure

Less snow than usual is lying. The snowpack will be generally subject to considerable local variations. In the last few days the weather was mild. The rain gave rise to thorough wetting of the old snowpack over a wide area below approximately 2500 m.

Tendency

Some new snow: The avalanche danger will persist.
