Forecast Snow Stability: Fresh unstable windslab will be deposited in wind sheltered areas onto recently deposited windslab, mainly on North-West through North to East aspects above 950 metres. Accumulations gaining depth are not expected to be extensive. The old snowpack will be generally stable and its surface refrozen. Newly formed cornices will be fragile. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Very strong South-Westerly winds will ease overnight and during the day will be moderate mainly South-South-Westerly. The freezing level will be 800 metres overnight, gradually rising to around 1000 metres during the day. After some snow showers above 800 metres during the early evening the period is expected to be dry. Observed Weather Influences: Very strong South-South-Westerly winds veered South-Westerly during the late morning. Frequent showers during the morning fell as snow above around 900 metres. The afternoon was mainly dry. The freezing level was around 950 metres.
