Forecast Snow Stability: Little change is expected as the thaw continues. Lingering wet snow instabilities will be found in very steep locations on North through East to South-East aspects above 850 metres, such as coire rims, scarp slopes and terraces. The snow surface will quickly soften early in the morning, leaving a moist spring snowpack that is stable and slowly reducing in extent. The threat of cornice collapse remains. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: A dry day is expected with strong Southerly winds, strengthening briefly around midday to give very strong gusts. The freezing level will be around 2600 metres. Observed Weather Influences: A dry day with strong winds from the South-West. The freezing level was above the summits, despite cool summit temperatures at the start of the day. ObservedSnowStability: The spring snowpack is moist at all elevations due to the continuing slow thaw. Wet snow instabilities remain in very steep North through East to South-East aspects above 850 metres. The snowpack is becoming increasingly depleted with greatest amounts in high coires, while at lower elevations cover is limited to snow patches and ribbons. The avalanche hazard is Low.
