Forecast Snow Stability: Fresh areas of unstable windslab will form in sheltered locations. Greatest accumulations will mainly be on steep North-West, North and North-East aspects above 1000m. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Snow showers are expected through out the forecast period, initially above 600m but the freezing level will rise to around 1000m during Friday. Strong winds will be from a Southerly direction. Observed Weather Influences: The freezing level has been around 750m with some light snow showers. ObservedSnowStability: The existing snowpack is refrozen and generally stable. Any new snow accumulations from today have been insignificant in quantity. The avalanche hazard is Low.
