Avalanche Activity

The snowpack will be quite stable.

The snowpack will be generally stable. The avalanche prone locations are rather rare and are easy to recognise. Such avalanche prone locations are to be found in extremely steep terrain in high Alpine regions. The avalanches are only small but can be released in isolated cases by a single winter sport participant.

Snowpack Structure

In some cases wind slabs are lying on a hard crust. This applies in particular on steep sunny slopes. From a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.
