During the night the weather will be partly cloudy in some regions. The surface of the snowpack will only just freeze. As the temperature drops there will be a gradual decrease in the danger of moist and wet avalanches as the day progresses. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the icy crust. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on shady slopes above the tree line.

The snowpack is favourably layered and its surface has a melt-freeze crust that is barely capable of bearing a load. A partly overcast night: The surface of the snowpack will only just freeze. Adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas as well as in high Alpine regions snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. In all aspects less snow than usual is lying.
