Wet avalanches are possible. Above approximately 1800 m small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized moist slab avalanches are possible. They can also release the wet snowpack. The avalanche prone locations for wet avalanches are to be found especially adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and on steep grassy slopes. As a consequence of warming, the likelihood of avalanches being released will increase gradually.

The snowpack remains in most cases subject to considerable local variations. Below approximately 1800 m only a little snow is lying. The snowpack will be well bonded in particular on shady slopes. On sunny slopes the snowpack is moister. In gullies and bowls a lot of snow is lying. The weather conditions from the late morning will give rise to increasing and thorough wetting of the old snowpack.
