Forecast Snow Stability: Unstable windslab will continue to build becoming deeper and widespread on North-East through East to South aspects above 750 metres where avalanches are likely. Wind sheltered terrain such as coire rims, convex slopes, ridge flanks, gullies and scarp slopes being most affected. Localised instabilities will be present at lower levels especially on steep banks, cuttings and crag aprons. Wind exposed aspects and ridge crests will have better stability. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable

Forecast Weather Influences: The wind will be mainly strong North-West to West-North- West throughout the period. Showers will be consistent with moderate amounts of snow expected. The freezing level will remain low at first then gradually rise during the night and tomorrow to around 500 metres. Observed Weather Influences: A day of generally poor visibility with just occasional bright periods. Winds were very strong North-West with some snow showers. The freezing level was around 200 metres. ObservedSnowStability: There is now deep snow cover to all levels. Unstable windslab has continued to build and is of particular concern on North-East through East to South aspects above 750 metres. Steep open slopes such as wind sheltered ridge flanks, coire rims and tops of gullies are affected. Cornices have grown and are fragile. Localised instabilities affect other aspects and lower elevations especially burn banks and cuttings. The avalanche hazard is Considerable.
