Forecast Snow Stability: The thaw conditions will continue with some improvement in stability. However, wet snow instabilities will still be possible, particularly above 900 metres on very steep terrain such as corrie rims, gully tops and scarp slopes. Cornices will be prone to collapse. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Continuing mild with some overnight rain, otherwise dry with possible isolated snow showers in the afternoon. Moderate winds, mostly South-South-West during the day. Observed Weather Influences: Heavy snow showers overnight followed by a rising freezing level and light rain. Winds were fresh from the West. ObservedSnowStability: Wet snow is becoming increasingly unstable in the thaw conditions. Stability is poorest on steep terrain above 850 metres, notably on West to North aspects, with all other aspects also affected. Cornice stability is also poor. The avalanche hazard is Considerable.
