Highlights

Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be reduced in some case.

Avalanche Activity

Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be reduced in some case.

Especially adjacent to ridgelines mostly small wind slabs formed. Individual avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular in steep terrain at elevated altitudes and on shady slopes. These are to be evaluated with care and prudence in particular in terrain where there is a danger of falling.

Snowpack Structure

The strong wind has transported the new snow significantly. The snowpack will be generally subject to considerable local variations. Sunshine and high temperatures gave rise to significant moistening of the snowpack at low and intermediate altitudes. As a consequence of falling temperatures and partly cloudy skies a crust will form on the surface.

Tendency

The avalanche danger will persist.
