Avalanche Activity

The snowpack will be quite favourable.

Fresh and older wind slabs can only be released in isolated cases. These are mostly easy to recognise and can only be released by large loads in most cases. As the day progresses as a consequence of solar radiation there will be only a slight increase in the avalanche danger.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack is largely stable. The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust and will soften later than the day before. The solar radiation will give rise as the day progresses to increasing moistening of the snowpack. On sunny slopes below approximately 2200 m only a little snow is lying.
