Highlights

It will be possible to trigger Wet Loose avalanches on steep sunny slopes.  While these avalanches are unlikely to be large enough to bury a rider, you could get hurt if one knocks you off your feet on a steep slope.  Wet Loose avalanches will become more likely and increase in size as the day progresses and warm temperatures and the sun continue to melt the snow surface.

    Wet Loose avalanche activity has been minimal during the last few days.  Late in the day riders have been able to trigger small Wet Loose avalanches on steep slopes.  It is unlikely that you will trigger an avalanche large enough to bury or injure a rider, but even small Wet Loose avalanches can easily knock you off their feet.  With this in mind, Wet Loose avalanches will primarily be a concern for riders on steep slopes or when terrain traps are present.  Time your riding so that you are on sunny slopes when they are soft enough, but not too soft.

    There have been lots of Cornice failures during the last week.  While the days are hot and large overhanging sections of ice remain on ridge tops, avoid being on or beneath cornices.
