Forecast Snow Stability: Isolated areas of unstable windslab will persist, mainly on West to North aspects above 900 metres. There will also be fresh deposits of windslab as snow is redistributed. Other aspects will be affected by cross-loading. Areas most affected will be gully tops and ridge flanks. Otherwise the snowpack will be shallow and generally stable. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: A dry day is expected with summit temperatures around -6 degrees. Fresh to strong South-East winds will continue into the evening, then back East-South-East overnight becoming strong to gale force by the end of the period. Observed Weather Influences: It was a dry day with very strong to gale force South-East winds. The freezing level was around 650 metres. ObservedSnowStability: Isolated accumulations of unstable windslab persist, mainly on West to North aspects above 900 metres. Elsewhere, the snowpack is shallow and generally stable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
