Forecast Snow Stability: The older snowpack will remain generally stable. Weaknesses in more recent windslab, mainly on North-West to North-East aspects above 900 metres, will slowly consolidate through the period. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Forecast Weather Influences: It is expected to remain mainly dry with very strong South-Easterly winds. The freezing level will be poorly defined but summit temperatures are expected to be close to freezing. Observed Weather Influences: After some early freezing rain it was a dry day with fresh Southerly winds. Temperatures were quite variable and there was no clearly defined freezing level. ObservedSnowStability: Recent windslab has consolidated in the fluctuating temperatures but isolated weaknesses persist mainly on North-West to North-East aspects above 900 metres with gullies and corrie rims most affected. The older snowpack is generally stable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
