Moist and wet avalanches are the main danger.

In some regions 5 cm of snow, and up to 10 cm in some localities, fell yesterday above approximately 2500 m. Today the weather will be cloudy. Some snow will fall until the evening in some localities. Up to 2300 m rain will fall. The surface of the snowpack will only just freeze and will soften quickly. The new snow is bonding quite well with the old snowpack. Individual mostly small natural avalanches are, however, possible. The high humditiy will give rise from the early morning to moistening of the snowpack in all aspects in particular at intermediate altitudes. As the penetration by moisture increases moist snow slides and avalanches are possible, but they can reach medium size in isolated cases. In the regions exposed to heavier precipitation and on steep slopes the avalanche danger is a little higher.

High altitudes and the high Alpine regions: As a consequence of highly fluctuating temperatures the snowpack consolidated. Towards its surface, the snowpack is moist and its surface consists of loosely bonded snow lying on a crust that is barely capable of bearing a load. In the regions exposed to snowfall this applies. Below approximately 2500 m: The snowpack is moist. In addition, only a little snow is lying on south facing slopes.
