Forecast Snow Stability: The existing snowpack will continue to consolidate and stability will be good. The snow surface will begin to refreeze above around 1000 metres with a continued thaw at lower elevations. Any new wet snow deposits above 1000 metres are expected to be shallow and reasonably well bonded. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Occasional showers through the day are forecast to fall as snow above around 1000 metres. The freezing level will be above all summits overnight falling to be around 1000 metres during the day with strong South-Westerly winds. Observed Weather Influences: After dry spell overnight and through the morning rain at all levels developed from around midday. The freezing level rose from around 1100 metres to well above the highest summits with strong South-Westerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: There is a general consolidating trend, however wet snow instabilities still exist on some steep slopes above around 950 metres. North-West through North to East aspects are most affected. All remaining cornices are prone to collapse. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
