Forecast Snow Stability: Unstable windslab will continue to develop becoming more widespread and deeper on Northerly through East to South-Easterly aspects above 800 metres. Coire rims, headwalls and gullies especially affected. Large weak cornices will continue to build above same aspects threatening collapse on to slopes below. Below 850m, although deep and extensive in places the snowpack will remain generally consolidated and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable.

Forecast Weather Influences: Winds fresh to gale force South-Westerly overnight then very strong West-South-Westerly during the day. Freezing level 700m overnight before rising to summit levels for a time at daybreak then lowering to 600m by late afternoon. Precipitation falling as snow above 600m then rain and sleet to 900m for a time early morning before persistent snow fall gradually above 400m. Observed Weather Influences: Snow showers, heavy and persistent at times during the morning above 500m, occasional light snow showers during the afternoon. Winds strong to moderate strength West-South-Westerly.
