Forecast Weather Influences: Stormy and wintry weather in prospect. A sequence of heavy snow showers throughout the period easing a little after midday. Rain at lower altitudes for a time. Very strong and gusty South South West winds becoming South West later. Observed Weather Influences: Wet and mild overnight then colder with frequent, punchy snow showers. Very strong and blustery West South Westerly airflow. ObservedSnowStability: Thin cover of fresh moist snow down to 750m in all locations. Persistent drifting induced the development of new moderately bonded windslab on steep North to East aspects. New accumulations were localised at the time of reporting, only gaining significant depth above 1000m. Some new minor cornice development noted above these places. Good stability in all other locations. The avalanche hazard is Moderate
