Forecast Snow Stability: Snowpack stability will be generally good in all locations. In deep accumulations some localised instabilities will persist on very steep North and North-East aspects above 1000 meters but these will not be extensive. At higher elevations, the snowpack will firm up overnight before softening during the day. Snow loss will continue at lower elevations. Any remaining cornices will remain a hazard. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: A dusting of fresh overnight snow above 1000 metres will clear to leave a dry day. Strong South-South-Westerly winds will increase through the day backing South. The freezing level will be around 1000 metres overnight rising above summit height in the afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: Persistent morning drizzle above the cloud level cleared to leave a mainly dry afternoon with intermittent sunny breaks. Very strong winds from the South-South-West with the freezing level above the summits. ObservedSnowStability: The existing snowpack is rapidly consolidating at all levels due to the mild conditions. In deep accumulations some localised instabilities still persist on North and North-East aspects above 1000 meters but these are not extensive. Most recent deposits are now soft in nature with the historical old snow pack remaining firm with only surface softening. Snow stability is generally good. Any remaining cornices remain a threat from collapse. The avalanche hazard is Low.
