Forecast Snow Stability: New snow amounts are not expected to be extensive however, shallow windslab may develop in wind sheltered locations. Deepest deposits can be expected in the afternoon on N to E aspects particularly around the tops of gullies and steep coire rims above 850m. with soft cornices developing. Elsewhere the snowpack will be generally well bonded and stable. Largest snow areas will be on NW, through N to E aspects above 870m, snow cover will be more patchy elsewhere. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Overnight. the freezing level will be well above the summits it will start to lower around mid morning steadily falling ending at around 800 metres by late afternoon. Rain showers overnight becoming more persistent in the morning turning to light snow showers mostly in the afternoon. The strong-gale South-South-Easterly winds will ease veering South easing further becoming Westerly. Observed Weather Influences: Today, it was misty above 600 metres with poor visibility, strong South-Easterly winds with light rain at all levels. Summit temperatures were plus 2.2 degrees Celsius. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is well bonded, very firm and stable. Largest continuous snow areas remain on North-West through North to East aspects above around 870 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
