Highlights

Where the snow surface is hard, the avalanche danger is low. Where the snow surface is wet and soft, small avalanches may be triggered. In very steep terrain, some loose snow avalanches may also release naturally, especially if the sun warms the snow during the day.

Wind-drifted snow on the peaks: On the highest summits, small unstable wind slabs may exist in leeward areas. Be cautious in steep slopes in or above terrain traps.

Avalanche Activity

Tendency

Generally stable avalanche conditions, but the danger for small wet avalanches increases as the temperature rises. Its time to switch to spring mode and remember to use slightly different approaches on wet and dry snow.
