Forecast Snow Stability: Little change is expected in the snowpack. In general it will remain hard, icy and stable. However, some areas of moderately bonded windslab will remain. These will be mainly in hollows and wind sheltered locations on South-West through West to North aspects above 1000 metres. These will not be particularly extensive, and will generally be avoidable. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.
Forecast Weather Influences: A pleasant dry day with some sunshine and a North-Easterly breeze. The freezing level will be around 300 metres. Observed Weather Influences: After a little overnight snow it was a dry day with some pleasant afternoon sunshine. The Easterly wind eased. The freezing level was about 500 metres. ObservedSnowStability: In general the snowpack is firm icy and stable. There are some deposits of moderately bonded windslab in sheltered South-West through West to North aspects above 1000 metres. However, these tend not to be particularly extensive. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
