Wherever more snow falls danger level 2 (moderate) will be reached in the course of the day. The fresh snow as well as the wind slabs represent the main danger.

The fresh snow and the wind slabs must be evaluated with care and prudence in all aspects. As the snowfall level drops the prevalence and size of the avalanche prone locations will increase as the day progresses. In all aspects medium-sized natural avalanches are possible as a consequence of the precipitation. The new snow and wind slabs can be released easily in all aspects.

Snowpack Structure

In all regions the wind slabs will increase in size. The fresh snow as well as the extensive wind slabs are bonding poorly with the old snowpack in all aspects.
