The visible wind slabs of the last few days represent the main danger.
In particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls visible wind slabs formed. In gullies and bowls a considerable avalanche danger will persist in some regions. In particular at the base of rock walls and on very steep sunny slopes individual mostly small snow slides are possible as a consequence of solar radiation. Avalanches can be released, mostly by large loads.
In some cases new snow and wind slabs are lying on the smooth surface of an old snowpack. Weak layers exist in the snowpack.
