As a consequence of a strong to storm force wind, sometimes deep wind slabs formed by Saturday in gullies and bowls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. They are easy to recognise and can in some cases be released easily especially at their margins, in particular on extremely steep slopes. Remotely triggered avalanches are possible in isolated cases, caution is to be exercised on steep shady slopes. At transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack the likelihood of avalanches being released is greater. The weather will be mild. Small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized moist and wet avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation, in particular on very steep southeast, south and southwest facing slopes, caution is to be exercised in particular in steep rocky terrain, and on very steep grassy slopes.
Above approximately 2300 m a lot of snow is lying. Snow depths vary greatly at high altitude, depending on the infuence of the wind. More recent wind slabs are to be found also areas not adjacent to ridgelines. As a consequence of the strong to storm force wind, a crust formed on the surface during the last few days. Towards its base, the snowpack is largely stable. Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise from early morning to moistening of the old snowpack in particular on sunny slopes below approximately 2900 m.
The avalanche danger will persist.
