The more recent wind slabs represent the main danger.

In particular adjacent to ridgelines in all aspects: The strong wind has transported the fresh and old snow significantly. Until Saturday the wind will be strong. In particular transitions into gullies and bowls places that are protected from the wind: Fresh wind slabs can in some cases be released easily, especially on very steep shady slopes. The weather will be very mild in the regions exposed to the foehn wind. Some small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized dry and moist avalanches are possible.

A little new snow. The actual quantities of new snow that have fallen are impossible to define. More recent wind slabs are to be found especially areas not adjacent to ridgelines. Below approximately 2200 m from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying. In particular in the regions neighbouring those that are subject to danger level 1 (low) a little snow is lying in all altitude zones. As a consequence of highly fluctuating temperatures and solar radiation a crust formed on the surface during the last few days. Towards its base, the snowpack is largely stable.

The weather will be mild. As a consequence of warming during the day and the solar radiation, the likelihood of moist avalanches being released will increase a little at intermediate and high altitudes.
