Avalanche Activity

As a consequence of new snow and a moderate wind, wind slabs formed in the last few days in all aspects. The new snow can be released easily, even by a single winter sport participant in all aspects above the tree line.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack will be prone to triggering in some places. This applies in particular on steep shady slopes above approximately 2000 m. The snowpack is weak in some cases and has a loosely bonded surface. Towards its base, the snowpack is faceted and weak. Remotely triggered avalanches are possible in isolated cases.
