The wind will transport the loosely bonded old snow. As a consequence of wind from variable directions, further wind slabs will form above approximately 1700 m. The wind slabs are lying on the unfavourable surface of an old snowpack. Weak layers exist in the snowpack. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface.

The meteorological conditions will foster a settling of the snowpack.
