Avalanche danger is low until Monday. Due to higher daytime temperatures at all altitudes (zero-degree level ascending to 3000m) isolated naturally triggered wet loose-snow avalanches are possible on extremely steep high alpine slopes, no large-sized releases expected.

The snowpack is moist-to-wet up to summit zones. Most of the snow lies in the Schladminger and Wölzer Tauern and Dachstein region. The slopes are becoming bare of snow.

Saturday will see highly variable conditions. Clouds and fog in the morning, also brief rain showers esp. from Hochschwab to Rax and Wechsel massifs. Clouds will then disperse over midday, in the afternoon the tendency towards thunderstorms will increase again. Rain showers cannot be excluded anywhere, esp. in the Styrian rimline ranges. Snowfall level at 2500m. Light to moderate SW-NW winds, brisker where there are showers. At 2000 m: +6 degrees. Sunday will begin with alternating sunshine and clouds. Dry in the morning, rainfall possible in the afternoon. Very mild at all altitudes, zero-degree level at 3000 m. Monday will have highly variable conditions, hefty rain showers are expected throughout the land. It will remain very mild.
