Avalanche Summary

Most slopes are generally safe from avalanches. If you were to trigger an avalanche, it would be on a slope steeper than 35 degrees, where recent winds drifted snow into cohesive slabs. You will most likely find this at upper elevations and cross-loaded terrain features. Drifted slabs of snow may feel stiff or have a wave-like appearance.
