Avalanche Summary

Dangerous avalanche conditions exist. Avoid travel on and under northerly and easterly-facing slopes steeper than about 30 degrees. You can trigger an avalanche large enough to bury or kill you in these areas. Strong winds are building slabs that extend far down the slope, and avalanches can break bigger than you might expect. Some may even step down into old snow layers. Low-angle wind-sheltered slopes offer safer travel options.
