Avalanche Summary

Winds will shift to the west and increase throughout the day. With plenty of snow for transport, slabs will continue to build on our most concerning aspects. You might be able to trigger a smaller avalanche in freshly drifted snow, or a more massive and destructive one that breaks deep in the snowpack. Steep northerly- and east-facing slopes at higher elevations are the most dangerous. To manage these tricky conditions, ratchet down your terrain choices and seek lower-angle slopes in wind-sheltered terrain.
