Avalanche Summary
Generally safe avalanche conditions prevail due to this season's shallow, variable snowpack. But, even with "generally safe conditions," an avalanche could still be triggered on isolated slopes or in extreme terrain. It's always a good idea to assess each individual slope you plan to ride and identify any hazards before committing to consequential terrain.
Pikes Peak picked up 8 inches of new snow on Tuesday. Watch out for where winds drifted this new snow into thin cohesive slabs on steep slopes above treeline.
