Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions are still tender and dangerous. You can easily trigger an avalanche on many steep slopes or from long distances away. The north half of the compass remains the most problematic. Hopefully, you will get clear warning signs of instability, such as cracking and collapse, to warn you of this danger, but if you don't see these signs, it doesn't mean it is safe. To reduce your risk, simply avoid being under or near steep terrain.
