Avalanche Summary

A slab has formed over a very weak snowpack. Avoid areas of drifted snow that are likely to collapse or crack under you. Below ridgelines and in gullies are the most likely places to find drifted snow.

Safer travel can be found in wind-sheltered and lower-elevation terrain, where the new snow remains unconsolidated.
