Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions are generally safe. The only place where you can trigger a small avalanche is on slopes with firm surface snow over weaker snow at the ground. These slopes face a northerly or east direction and are located near and above treeline. A skier was caught and carried in a small avalanche in this type of terrain in the Front Range on Tuesday.
