Very strong overnight west-southwest winds added to isolated pockets of wind slab up to one foot in depth which could be triggered by people who venture into very steep avalanche-prone terrain. Extra caution is required just below ridge tops, in cliff areas, above terrain traps and in extreme terrain. Low hazard does not mean no hazard.

A weak pulse of moisture will move into the region overnight bringing increasing areas of light snowfall Tuesday. Accumulations of two to three inches of snow are expected. Ridge top winds will be westerly at 20 miles per hour and temperatures will rise from the mid teens in the morning to the mid 20s during the day. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW. On steep slopes people could trigger small pockets of wind slab up to one foot deep and in isolated areas loose snow sloughs of weak faceted snow could be released.
