Highlights

The avalanche hazard will rise from LOW this morning to CONSIDERABLE this afternoon. Ongoing exceptionally high daytime temperatures and little or no overnight freezes continue to weaken the snowpack. As temperatures quickly rise today the crust will soften and the potential for wet avalanches will increase. Slides triggered by heat and cornice drops have occured in the area in recent days. Stay out of runout zones.
