Avalanche Summary

Watch for small areas of drifted snow sitting right below ridgetop at upper elevations. You might trigger a small avalanche if you find more than about 6 inches of snow. Any avalanche that you trigger will be small, but you could get knocked off your feet and dragged over rocks. You are most likely to find drifts on northeast, east, and southeast-facing slopes. Besides these isolated, drifted pockets, avalanche conditions are generally safe.
