Avalanche conditions are generally safe. If you were to trigger an avalanche, it would be where you find a fresh drift of snow. Drifts of snow can range from soft to hard and sometimes sound hollow. As north and northwest winds continue on Saturday, identify areas of freshly drifted snow, as these are the places you can trigger a small slide.
