New snow and strong westerly winds will build fresh slabs on exposed slopes on the east side of the compass near and above treeline. These should be easy to manage, but use extra caution if you encounter new drifts that are over a foot deep. There is a chance that any avalanche you trigger could break deeper into old snow, creating a much larger slide. Wind-sheltered areas will provide much safer riding options.
