A few inches of new snow, combined with strong winds, may build thin slabs in exposed terrain. These should be easy to manage, but if you happen to encounter a terrain feature with close to a foot of freshly wind-drifted snow, then steer around it. Even thinner drifts could be problematic if you travel on steep slopes above cliffs or exposed rocks.
