Highlights

Loose sloughs of recent new snow could be dangerous particularly in terrain traps. This snow rests upon DANGEROUS older slabs up to 4 feet in depth which are barely supported by weak layers of faceted snow. Deep slabs continue to be triggered by skiers and riders in the Teton and Togwotee Pass areas. Another avalanche fatality occurred yesterday near the Crow's Nest in the Jedediah Smith Wilderness. At the lower elevations slabs up to 3 feet in depth could be triggered on steep, avalanche prone terrain.
