Avalanche Summary

You could trigger an avalanche where you find stiffer slabs of wind-drifted snow sitting over weak snow or crusts at upper elevations. The more dangerous areas are steep leeward slopes where winds have drifted snow into thicker slabs. Avoid drifted areas near ridgelines and steer clear of trigger points like convex rolls or steep slopes beneath cliff bands.
