The General Avalanche Hazard is LOW. Isolated pockets of surface slab lie upon slick crusts and weak, faceted layers. These surface slabs, up to a foot deep, could be human trigger in steep, wind loaded avalanche starting zones and cliff areas. While relatively small, these slides could sweep backcountry travelers over cliff bands or into shallow, rocky terrain. Very little snow exists below an elevation of 7,500 feet.
