40 to 60 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall until Tuesday above approximately 2000 m. As a consequence of new snow and a moderate to strong wind from westerly directions, further wind slabs will form in all aspects. The large quantity of fresh snow and the wind slabs can be released easily or naturally. Numerous dry avalanches are to be expected from the second half of the night. They can be triggered in the weakly bonded old snow and reach large size. In the typical avalanche paths these can reach as far as the valley bottom. In addition powder avalanches are to be expected. Even single persons can release avalanches easily. Such avalanche prone locations are to be found in all aspects above approximately 2000 m. Backcountry touring and other off-piste activities call for great restraint.

20 to 30 cm of snow fell in the last two days. Sunday: The sometimes strong wind has transported some snow. Fresh snow and large quantities of wind-drifted snow of the last few days are bonding only slowly with the old snowpack. In all aspects snow depths vary greatly above approximately 2200 m, depending on the infuence of the wind. Adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas and at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions a little snow is lying. At low and intermediate altitudes less snow than usual is lying.

In these regions the avalanche danger will decrease a little.
