Forecast Snow Stability: Unstable windslab will gradually develop overnight and during the day especially where it gains depth in wind sheltered places on North-East through East to Southerly aspects mostly above 900m. Coire rims, gully tops and coire headwalls especially affected. On these aspects, unstable cornices will also begin to develop. Elsewhere, patchy snow will be very firm, icy and stable and many areas will be bare or have a light dusting. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: Becoming colder with a freezing level around 500 metres. Precipitation falling as snow sometimes persistent above 350 metres or so dying out in the afternoon. Winds strong to gale force Westerly overnight, becoming mostly North-Westerly during the day. Observed Weather Influences: A wet day with rain to summit levels. Winds gale force Westerly. Gradually getting colder with freezing levels near summits during afternoon. ObservedSnowStability: The remaining snow patch remnants are confined to coire rims and gullies mostly above 800 metres on Easterly to Southerly aspects. Although soft and moist they are stable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
