Forecast Snow Stability: At all levels the snowpack will be generally stable as it becomes increasingly moist and thaws. Snow cover will diminish especially at lower elevations. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Overnight showers will become more continuous during the morning, and heavier in the afternoon. Strong Westerly winds will steadily increase to gale force. The freezing level will be well above the summits throughout the period. Observed Weather Influences: A mainly dry morning with occasional showers and moderate South-Westerly winds. Cloudy and damp during the afternoon with the freezing level slowly rising to around the highest summits. ObservedSnowStability: Isolated windslab deposits are present in steep, wind sheltered locations, mainly on North-West to North-East aspects above 850 metres. These accumulations are generally shallow and avoidable. In other areas the snowpack is shallow to bare ground and stable. Areas exposed to the wind are scoured. The avalanche hazard is Low.
