Forecast Snow Stability: Localised instabilities will be present, mainly on steep gully tops and corrie rims where accumulations are deepest. Initially these instabilities will be windslab but will change to wet snow instabilities as the freezing level rises later in the afternoon. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.
Forecast Weather Influences: Overnight and early on Monday there will be some light snow showers above 500m. During the afternoon the freezing level will rise above the summits and there will be rain at all levels. Winds will ease and back to the South Observed Weather Influences: Snow showers above 600m with strong North-Westerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: New accumulations of fresh snow largely lie on bare ground. Localised accumulations of windslab are present, mainly at the tops of East and South-East aspects above 900m. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
